The Alliance of Indian Wastepickers (AIW) is an alliance of over 30 organisations working with wastepickers in Ahmedabad, Ahmednagar, Aurangabad, Bareilly, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Haryana, Indore, Kolkata, Latur, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Nagpur, Nasik, Sangli, Surat, Thane, Patna, Pune, Pimri Chinchwad and Ujjain. The Alliance enjoys the support of individual academicians, environmentalists, media persons and citizens.
